Katryn Duarte

Katryn was born and raised in Lima, Perú, then migrated to Iowa during the Peruvian 20-year civil war. Katryn has worked directly with victims of violence for over fifteen years by providing bilingual/bicultural advocacy and counseling services. Passionate about intersectionality, equity, inclusion, oppression, vulnerability, fragility, privilege, and social justice. Katryn currently acts as one of the Assistant Directors at the Rape Victim Advocacy Program (RVAP),
