Ama Con Sentido: A social campaign to promote healthy relationships and prevent gender violence

Puerto Rico is currently in a declared state of emergency due to gender violence. This situation has spiked a lot of controversy and resistance especially when it comes to schools’ curriculums. In this context, the workshop aims to present our "Ama Con Sentido" campaign as a tool to advocate for the prevention of gender violence and the promotion of healthy relationships, especially in schools and universities. This campaign has been activated every February since 2016 with diverse engagement strategies. Although this campaign is focused on Puerto Rico as a whole, 48% of PR is considered rural.
