Jorge Soria
Jorge Gonzalez-Soria (he/him – el) is a Spanish Bilingual Housing Stability Coordinator at SPAN. He is a Chicano, 1st generation college graduate with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice. Jorge is passionate about serving his community and strives to ensure everyone is treated with dignity and respect. As a coordinator at SPAN, Jorge focuses on addressing the housing barriers survivors of DV/IPV face, by building strong community relationships, advocating, and leading the Economic Empowerment Program (EEP). His goal for the EEP program is to provide more education on the resources that are available in the area, especially for those with the highest barriers. He does this by bringing together professionals in their field (immigration lawyers, financial advisors, business owners, and other community organizers) to address those barriers and offer a space to learn and connect.
